When Thomas made the decision to leave his small home town and venture out into the world, he had no idea what he was getting himself into. He had always been a bit of a dreamer, and he was confident that he could make something of himself if he just tried hard enough. His family and friends all told him that he was making a mistake, but he didn't listen. He was determined to prove them all wrong.
For the first few months, everything went according to plan. He found a job in the city and was able to save up enough money to get his own place. He made new friends and started to feel like he belonged. But then things took a turn for the worse. His job became more demanding and he was constantly tired. He started to miss his family and friends back home. He began to doubt himself and his ability to make it on his own.
Now, as he sits in his tiny apartment, wondering if he made the right choice, he can't help but feel a little bit lost.
