History
According to a legend the Blessed Kinga threw her ring in the mine, when her missing ring was found, they foud salt here. From 1620 onward, horses were used to carry salt out, because miners were killed or injured. Their underground chapel was destroyed by fire. Evere since they started to carve sculptures from rock salt, since wood was not allowed in the mines any longer.
