      Grenoble is a beautiful French city situated right at the foot of the Alps and crossed by the Isère river. It is a wonderful place to visit because it has that atmosphere that combines mountain resorts with a colourful and elegant French touch.
       Like any typical French city, it has marvellous boulevards where tourists can take long walks and discover what the French culture has to offer.
First of all, there are nice coffee shops and restaurants if you are interested in exploring French cuisine. Don't forget to taste the local macaroons and perhaps a tarte tatin.
There are also nice parks where you can relax such as Jardin des Dauphins (Garden of the Dauphinois), Jardin de Ville (Garden of the City) or Paul Mistral Park. Let's not forget the museums for example The Musem of Contemporary Art of Grenoble, The Fort of Bastille and the Archeological Museum.
After a long day of visiting, you can stop in Place the Grenette and admire some old French buildings or maybe take the cable car and see the city of Grenoble from the top of the surrounding hills. 
If you like shopping Grand'Place is the place to go. If you are a sports fan, Grenoble Stadium hosts local football games. There is also a Municipal Theatre and the Maison de la Culture (House of Culture) where you can see beautiful plays and listen to classical music.
      All in all, I'd say that Grenoble is a great place to visit and I would recommend it to someone my age because it has a bit of everything and I believe that anyone would be able to find something they like about this lovely elegant city.
