This image represents the evolution of the human kind when it comes to literature,communication and journalism, and how people nowadays don't know how to properly express themselves.
In the era of the first written world, communication wasn't as complex as now. It was mostly made out of signs, sounds and gestures. The movable type made a huge impact on the world. Before the printing press, mostly all books were written in Latin, and the clergy and higher classes were hugely the ones to be literate at all. And, there were also much less books, which cost a lot more. The guy in the mass publication era shows how much the Movable Type era has changed and improved humanity. People were more educated in the Mass Publication era. The Email made it much easier for people to communicate with each other, but is also had some lows. For example, people are more lazy in the Email era and, compared to the Mass Publication era, less well-mannered. Both the first guy and the last guy are lower on the hill, which represents that they aren't as smart, well-mannered, disciplined as the ones on the top. And, they both don't know how to express themselves and how to talk in a proper way.
