One day, a young Bedouin man called Ali heard that traders were coming to his town. He decided to join their caravan which carried spices across the Sahara. When his mother found out, she begged him not to leave. But Ali left the next morning. He travelled by camel and saw beautiful towns. The traders taught him everything about the desert. The following year, Ali bursted into hus mother's kitchen, carrying gift and exotic spices.
