I met Florin when we were about 5 or 6 years old. He was our new classmate at the kindergarten and his pale face and shy blue eyes attracted my attention.

Nobody wanted to play with him, so I felt sorry and I approched curiously to talk with him. What a fascinating smile he had! What lovely stories and amazing dreams of his own he told me! At that time, he was dreaming to become a pilot.

Then we happened to be classmates during the primary and secondary school, too. Our way home was the same and we often stopped in a park near a block of flats to talk about our hobbies and plans for the future. Only in the nineth form, life decided to separate us. Exams are cruel sometimes: such an intelligent young boy, who had won Maths competitions year after year, failed to get the qualification necessary to continue the studies where we both hoped to be schoolmates again ...

Time is short for us, we cannot see each other as much as we would like to. However, holidays are entirely ours and we try to meet when we can, to spend our spare time together, to talk again about our latest dreams, such as how to program a plane to fly without a pilot. We both have long hair now, we are the same crazy and rebelious persons as we used to be when we first met. I hope this friendship will never end.
