I do not think they agree with the proverb. The meaning of the proverb is that regardless of how beautiful a place you visit is, home is always the best place to be at. However, in the text it is mentioned that Mihai and his family were sorry to leave the place and it seems they were even a little jealous of Moldovans because they have such a wonderful place in their country.
