   Sam haven't heard from his former colleagues since he graduated from high school. - Sam nu a mai auzit de colegii sau de cand a terminat liceul.

d. They / send fifty mails / three hours.
    They have sent fifty mails for three hours. - Ei au trimis cincizeci de emailuri in trei ore.

e. Helen / not drive / a car / 2008.
    Helen haven't driven a car since 2008. - Helen nu a mai condus o masina din 2008.

f. Mark and I / be / vegetarians / three years.
   Mark and I have been vegetarian for three years. - Mark si cu mine suntem vegetarieni de trei ani.

g. My mother / work / in this school / last April.
    My mother have worked in this school since last April. - Mama mea lucreaza in aceasta scoala din aprilie.

h. Will / see / three movies / for two hours.
    Will have seen three movies for two hours. - Will a vazut trei filme in doua ore.

i. It / not rain / we came here.
   It haven't rained since we came here. Nu a plouat de cand am venit aici.

j. We / not eat / came from school.
   We haven't eaten since we came from school. - Nu am mancat de cand am venit de la scoala.



SINCE - se foloseste pentru a marca un inceput fiz in trecut - de cand am venit de la scoala, de cand am venit aici, din aprilie - atunci cand ai un moment fix in trecut.

FOR - se foloseste pentru a marca o perioada de timp - for three hours - timp de trei ore.

For three hours - Timp de trei ore (o perioada de timp de trei ore).
Since three hours - De trei ore (inceputul a fost in urma cu trei ore).
