I came across an article in a magazine the other day which made comparisons between people and animals. It seemed to come to the conclusion that in most cases we are superior to animals and lead a more comfortable life. Wild animals have much more freedom than pets or animals in zoos, but even a lion or a tiger in the jungle could be killed by hunters at almost any time. For animals, life is generaly hard and dangerous compared to the life led by people in large cities, where there is not only variety but also the freedom to choose the kind of life you want to lead.
