Mr Priestley isn't a teacher of English. He is not a very young man but he is not old. He doesn't know three or four languages, and doesn't read and doesn't speak and doesn't write them well. He doesn't read many books and doesn't write some.
It isn't almost eleven o'clock by the study clock, but he doesn't work late, sometimes till one o'clock in the morning.
His big desk isn't in the middle of the room. On the floor near the desk ther aren't a number of books.
His students don't come to his study for their lessons. They don't come everyday except Saturday and Sunday. Those days aren't holidays.
