Mr. Priestley is not a teacher of English. He is not a very young man, but he is not old.  He doesn't know three or four languages, and doesn't read and doesn't speak and doesn't write them well. He doesn't read many books and doesn't write some.
It is not almost eleven o'clock by the study clock, but he doesn't work late, sometimes till 1 o'clock in the morning.
His big desk is not in the middle of the room.On the floor near the desk there are not a number of books.
His students don't come to his study for their lessons. they don't come every day except Saturday and Sunday. those days are not holidays.
