Our entire being feels the urge for our inner child to reach outer surface from time to time. That is, not only do we have to and will unavoidably grow, but we also have to understand that adulthood is a rite of passage paradoxically linked to the bond we keep with our childhood, its purity, its genuineness. Growing wise does not only involve being far too serious, even quirky, yet it involves being able to see the beauty and the good in the world, to believe in it and to direct our behavior according to it. A child forgives quickly and easily forgets, a child seeks for the good in others, whereas ordinary adults tend to criticize and complain. Growing up means this; it means looking for the good with an open heart, without being triggered by judgemental thoughts.
