Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic. It is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. It is built on seven hills by the River Vltava. It became the capital in 1918. Many people call Prague "The Golden City" and "The Mother of Cities" because it still has many beautiful medieval buildings and statues. The most popular building is the Old Town Hall and its amazing astronomic clock.
Prague is also famous for its concert halls and every May there is a famous music festival "Prague Spring". There are also many theatres and old pubs.
