They play a major role in globalisation by bringing far flung nations closer. Life without computers would take us back to the age when you had to wait for weeks for a letter to arrive from another state.
But there are quite a few negative effects of using a PC. One of the main ill-effects is the radiations emitted from the PC monitor. Also, as we spend more and more time on the computer, we are bound to suffer from severe backaches .
However, spending too much time in front of the computer reduces the amount of time spent on outdoor activities, as well as social engagements, which are all important for a healthy lifestyle.
