Kate and I are friends for a long time. We were like sisters. We went to the same school, in the same class, we liked the same sports. When we were 14 we decided that we liked martial arts. We used to go together to judo twice a week. One day, in summer, our teacher took us to the mountains. As it was warm and dry and our teacher took us to practice outdoors, in a nice and clean clearing. We took off our footwear and started our exercises. After a few moment I heard Kate crying. I ran towards her, the teacher did the same. Kate's foot was bleeding... She hardly could tell us that when she jumped she felt a terrible pain in her left heel and it started bleeding... The teacher cleaned gently the blood with a tissue, and noticed a fragment of glass in her heel. He took Kate in his arms and started running towards the hotel, shouting at me to call an ambulance. The ambulance arrived in no time, and I spent half of the night waiting at the hospital. I was so scared that I couldn't call our parents, but our teacher did it. Kate's parents arrived early in the morning and took her home.
We are still friends, we meet often, but her parents are very careful with her hobbies...
