Dwayne was taken into arrest by the metropolitan police. After half an hour drive, he was invited to take a place into his cell. There he met, Steven, another inmate who offered to help Dwayne adjust to his new environment. He explained to Dwayne that during lock up he is not allowed to scream or jump around. an inmate should never pick on the other detainees or police officers. He could get a fast release from county jail if he acted orderly and respectful. 
Dwayne thanked for all the wonderful advice. Dwayne asked Steven what was his plan in prison. Steven answered that he was a pensioner, so he expected to get out sooner for health reasons. He hoped that the state will support his expenses for his first few weeks till he found a stable home.
The two of them heard the siren for night down and lied in their beds.

Dwayne a fost luat in arest de catre politia metropolitana. Dupa un drum cu masina de o juma de ora, a fost invitat sa ia loc in celula sa. Acolo l-a intalnit pe Steven, un alt detinut care s-a oferit sa-l ajute sa se ajusteze la noul sau mediu. I-a explicat lui Dwayne ca atata timp cat este inchis, nu are voie sa urle sau sa sara prin celula, ca un detinut nu ar trebui sa se ia de ceilalti detinuti sau ofiteri politisti. Ar putea sa obtina o eliberare rapida daca se va comporta ordonat si respectuos

Dwayne i-a multimit pentru toate sfaturile minunate. Dwayne l-a intrebat pe Steven care este planul sau in inchisoare. Steven a raspuns ca el era un pensionar, asa ca se astepta sa fie eliberat mai rapid din motive de sanatate.  Spera ca statul sa ii suporte cheltuielile in primele saptamani pana cand isi va gasi o noua casa.
S-a auzit sirenia de noapte, cei doi se duc si se intind in paturile lor.
