There was once a happy family . The father , the mother , one stubborn girl Merida , and three little brothers , they were also knows as the king , queen , princess and princes of the kingdom where the story takes place. Merida was one in a thousand girls , she didn't like girly things and she pretty much liked archery. Her time for marriage has come but she didn't want to get married nor to have a guy by her side. Her mother though the exact opposite. So on the day her to-be-fiances arrived in the kingdom she turned against them and ride her way to the forest with her horse but not before tearing apart her mother's "wall carpet"which was very important to her mother. In the forest she fins an old lady who gives her a cake which will make her mother "understand her". She comes back home and gives it to her mother. But thing don't go as planned. Her mother transforms into a bear. Long-story-short they had to go to the forest to break the curse , to find that old lady. But they didn't . They had fun in the forest as bear- daughter and they improved their relationship as mother-daughter. But there was once a great king who got tricked into transforming in a bear as well. They got attacked but they managed to escape. Merida realized at that time what was wrong. She tore apart her mother's "wall carpet" , right where her and her mother were supposed to be. So they had to get back to the castle. They managed to do it but then her father saw them and thought the bear ate his wife , Merida's mother. So he got all the guys who were with him to hunt down the bear and locked Merida in her room. Turns out her brothers were bears as well. So her brothers got the key for her and she escaped . She had to sew what she broke and to find her mother in the forest. But the things didn't go as planned. The bear king appeared again. Her mother sacrificed her own life so she could know that they all could be alive and she defeated the bear. To break the curse they had to put the carpet on her before sunrise , so she did it. Her mother and her brothers were humans again and they all lived happily after. Merida and her mother began to understand each other and support each other.
