The advantages of practicing a sport are visible in our health. The benefits it brings to our body are crucial for a healthy life and, practiced regularly, it can prevent disease or major health problems that appear with old age. Besides the effect on our body it also does wonders to our mental health. Boosting confidence, healing self-esteem issues and clears up our mind.
The disadvantages sure aren't equal with its benefits. It can be time consuming and practicing a sport for a long period of time will inevitably force you to raise the bar towards performance for even more visible results on your body. But only if that's what you strive for. You can still practice a sport and remain to the same level to maintain the results. Another downfall is that any long and unnecessary break will erase the previous work and you'll have to start from square one.
