Suceava is the largest city and the administrative center of Suceava County, in the historical region of Bucovina, north-eastern Romania. The city is located about 160 kilometers north-west of Bucharest.
The city was the capital of the former Principality of Moldavia from 1388 to 1565.
The city has a population of 92,121 and is the seat of Suceava County.
