Lately I keep hearing the words "I couldn't live without it".
Usually people say that about their phones or laptops or some other tech object. I mean, yes, I am aware these are very usefull and make our lifes easier, but from that to not being able to live without them is a very big step. I use my phone a lot too, or my computer, not so much the tv, but I surely could live without them. Our parents and all the generations before them managed to live without these things so I assume that we could do it too, if we had to. Logically we couldn't live without food, water and air, but all of us have at least one addiction. We could be addicted to our phones, or reading books, singing or dancing. An addiction doesn't have to be just alcohol or drugs, it can be anything we do exceedingly.
Every time I go in the country, in the summer, some of my friends love to walk barefoot on the hot car road or on the country roads full of dust and little stones. I never managed that, so I could say that I couldn't live without any kind of shoes, but I know that I would get used to walk barefoot if I would ever have to.
