- ask about your friend's family and any other friends you both know.

- say that you must end the letter and why.


- give your regards to his/ her parents.


- ask him/ her to write soon.

Dear Paul,

I am sorry I haven't written to you lately, but I was under pressure with the exams getting closer and closer. Now, that me and my family have calmed down about it, I have more spare time and here I am writing to you again. Of course, everyting went the way it was supposed to, I had a lot to study and I also had some health problems, caused by immunity disorders, but I was supported well by my family and I have successfully graduated from secondary school. The next step is to look for a suitable university, but this will be in the next couple of months. I guess that having more than a hobby does not help me choose only a way in life, in my future career.

How about you, my friend? How are things working for you? Are you and your family in good health and happy? I miss the good old days when we used to chat for hours.

Write to me soon, I can't wait to have news from you.

Dragă Paul,

Îmi pare rău că nu ţi-am scris în ultima vreme, însă am fost presat de examenele ce se apropiau tot mai mult. Acum, că eu şi familia mea ne-am liniştit în această privinţă, am mai mult timp liber şi iată-mă scriindu-ţi din nou. Desigur, totul a mers aşa cum trebuia, am fost nevoit să învăţ mult şi am mai avut şi nişte probleme de sănătate, cauzate de tulburări ale imunităţii, însă am fost sprijinit bine de familie şi am absolvit cu succes liceul. Următoarea etapă e să caut o facultate adecvată, însă asta va fi în următoarele două luni. Cred că a avea mai mult decât o activitate preferată nu mă ajută să găsesc o singură cale în viaţă, în viitoarea mea carieră.

Dar tu, prietene, ce mai faci? Cum îţi mai merge? Tu şi familia ta sunteţi bine, sănătoşi şi voioşi? Îmi lipsesc frumoasele zile de demult când obişnuiam să stăm la taclale ore în şir.

Să-mi scrii curând, abia aştept să primesc veşti de la tine.
