Its beneficial because most teenagers dont have part time jobs and they need to have a small ammount of money to spend on things they need.

For example they can do chores around the house to get pocket money or if they have younger siblings they can babysit their siblings for pocket money.

Its beneficial and useful for buying things that u need like if your pen runs out of ink you can go to the store and buy a new ink set or a new pen or if your going out with ur friends and u want something to eat.

If they don't get some pocket money they can't buy things without their parents money and using money that isn't earned by them is worse than earning it themselves. Its an easy way to become spoiled by your parents.

So I have to agree with this statement cuz I think teenagers should recieve their own money but they ofcourse cant get it for free and have to work for it.
