Thanks for you letter. My exams were very easy, not because they were easy themselves, but I have studied very hard to get them.
Yes, you can come in April or May, it's the perfect time because in that period everywhere in Romania is warm and all the flowers and trees are growing, and you will be able to see landmarks, but also some very overwhelming landscapes.
If you like historical sights, I recommend you try visiting the Bran Castle, or Rasnov Citadel. They are very old and you will be surprised how well they were maintained.
My customs and traditions... that's a good question. We have a lot of traditions, but in every part of the country they are different, so I can't tell you exactly what all the traditions are because they are too many. But one sure thing that I can tell you is that we eat a lot of "sarmale" in Christmas Eve.
Unfortunately, I can not travel with you, because I have signed up for a skiing program in that period, so I will not be in the country in that time, sorry.
