It was a morning like any other. I woke up, brushed my teeth and put on clothes so I could start my very normal day. Or so I thought. The moment I left my house, I knew something was wrong. My pet dog, Fido (poti sa schimbi numele) did not greet me upon walking outside as usual. I looked around in confusion and saw that he was nowhere to be found. Weird. I went to his dog house and there I found him. Fido was laying in his dog house, sleeping. I noticed that he was wearing a big red cape and was noticeably bigger. He reminded me of that cartoon with the white superhero dog, though i couldn’t remember the name. Fido heard me and woke up, and talked! He talked to me in the human language! I was so surprised the words he said to me didn’t register, and i stumbled back. Fido looked at me and asked me if i was alright, and when i said i was fine, he started explaining how last night he accidentally found a strange root while digging in the garden, and next thing he knew, he got turned into a superhero! To prove it, he showed me how he could float and move things without any effort. I was amazed! I asked him if he’s ever going to go back to normal, and he told me that it’s likely the strange roots effects will fade away by the next morning. I decided to make the most of this situation and have some fun. I climbed on Fido’s back and told him to take us on an adventure! I should’ve known that Fido and I had very differing opinions on what an adventure is though. He took me to a field where some lambs were grazing. I looked at him, about to ask him why he didn’t take us somewhere fun, but upon seeing how happy he was chasing the lambs, i understood that this was what he considered fun. I didn’t have it in me to ruin his happiness so i joined him in playing tag with the lambs. It was very fun! By the time it got dark, we were both exhausted but happy. Fido picked me up by my shirt because i was so tired i couldn’t move, and we flew back home together. When we got home, i stole some ham from the fridge and gave it to Fido, and he thanked me by licking my face. We said goodnight to each other and we both went to sleep in our beds. The next morning, Fido was back to normal. I felt a little disappointed his transformation didn’t last longer but I at least knew that the memories i made yesterday with Fido would last forever.
