Relocated refugees need to learn cultural nuances, customs, mannerisms, and expectations. As an outsider in a foreign land, these things can be difficult to understand.

It can also take a while to get settled into their new jobs. With so many changes at once, the refugees can feel overwhelmed. Another issue is that people fear refugees that come from a country with radical Islamist activity because they think this can create problems in their communities. So they can be treated badly and misunderstood. Also another issue is that the refuges are treated unfairly because some people dislike the feeling of economic entitlement that some of refugees exhibit once they come to their country. People only accept what best serves their own interest.

So people that shelter refugees dislike the idea that the government needs to provide food, shelter, medical care, education, and other support to people who may possibly pose national security risks to their country. Why is that?

Because for those people national security, fiscal sustainability, and cultural preservation are the essentials.
