COMPETITION: Send us your stories! We are looking for interesting stories for our student website. The best will be published on our website and win a prize. Your story must begin with this sentence: "Charlie watched the dark clouds anxiously, wondering when the storm would start". Your story must include:
- a boat
- a rescue

Charlie watched the dark clouds anxiously, wondering when the storm would start. He was on his boat, out on the open sea, and the impending storm was starting to make him nervous. He had been fishing all day, and now he just wanted to make it back to shore before the storm hit.
As the wind picked up and the waves grew taller, Charlie realized that he was in trouble. His boat was small, and it was quickly being tossed around by the rough seas. He tried his best to steer the boat towards shore, but it was difficult to see through the driving rain and the waves were getting higher and higher.
Just when he thought all hope was lost, he saw a flash of light in the distance. It was a rescue boat, sent out to help those in need during the storm. Charlie waved his arms frantically, trying to get the rescue boat's attention.
The rescue boat spotted Charlie and quickly made its way towards him. The rescuers threw a line to Charlie, and he tied it to his boat. The rescue boat then began to tow Charlie's boat towards shore, away from the storm.
Charlie was so grateful to the rescuers. He knew that without their help, he might have been in serious trouble. As they reached the safety of the harbor, he thanked the rescuers and promised to be more careful in the future. He was just glad to be back on solid ground, and to have survived the storm.
