Tim felt angry as he got off the train.
Today was supposed to be a normal day, a normal morning in which he would get up, cook his normal breakfast and drink his normal coffee and afterwards head to work.
But this morning was difficult for Tim. Everything was against him, or so it seemed. He finished eating the scrambled eggs and gave his old mother a call, telling her how excited he was for his first job.
He was supposed to leave his home at 8 o'clock, because his whole journey to his job was taking him about 30 minutes. Then, after ending his call with his mother, Tim walked to his garage, ready to start the car and drive safely towards his destination.
But, to his surprise, the car never started. The engine sounded like it was chocking when he tried to turn it on. He needed to get to his job by 9 o'clock and he also knew that he couldn't be late on his first day.
He grabbed his jacket and instead of calling a taxi or a friend, he ran towards the train station that would take him to the center of the city.
By the time he arrived there, exhausted and sweating as he was, the first train was long gone. It was already 15 past 8 in the morning and the day was going from bad to worse.
Tim waited for the other train, 15 minutes later, but by now he knew he would be late. No excuse could save him from his boss. And that's why, when the train stopped in the station, at 9 o'clock, in the center of the city and Tim got off it, he felt like anger was burning through his veins.
