Yes, I agree, because the difference between their generation and ours is too complex. Technology evolved so much in the last fifty years, it changed the way we socialize, spend our free time, even changed the way we think. For grandparents to understand the way their grandchildren live their life among these distractions is something they are simply not educated for, their development took place in a different era and set their minds differently. While they might prefer to spend time outside playing with the grandchildren, the kids would prefer playing video games instead. Also, talking about their day might be something children don't do as much, because they prefer to chat online with their friends instead of having a verbal conversation with an adult.
One way or another, both grandparents and grandchildren have something to lose from this huge difference their own generation shaped.
B. I want to go out today, maybe to the park and feed the birds. I hope to meet my neighbor there and see how she's doing. I miss her since she doesn't have a phone and I find it difficult to walk up the stairs to visit her that often. Hopefully we'll feed the birds together and talk about how our grandchildren are doing these days. It would mean a lot to me to just sit and talk to someone I care about.
