As human beings, we are constantly looking for ways in which we can find happiness around us. What we do not see is that we are in charge of our own happiness and it only depends on us to find this in ourselves. Thus, instead of looking around and seeking happiness, we should concentrate on our own souls and find the things that make us happy. However, I suggest we keep in mind that the little things in life are the ones that make us truly happy. This being said, I think that we are responsible for our own happiness and if we discover our inner-self we will definitely find happiness in there as well.
