When I went to the museum, I saw the old Queen's crown. It was adorned with rubies and diamonds, shining like the sun in the cold lighting of the room. The cap was of the smoothest, crimson red velvet, and it almost looked like dark blood, beautiful and cruel like the queen's reign. The fleur de lys, band, cross paty, arch, monde and cross were all made of cold, symbolizing the glamor of the royal life, and the cross was incrusted with sapphires, the symbol of royalty, nobility, and faithfulness. I'd never be quite sure of what was so appealing about a crown, but maybe that, its mysteriousness, was the whole point.
