Paul Jones was amazed but at the same time ashamed that he did not believe his daughter's words to begin with.
He retrieved the sword from the mud, took it home, washed it and started looking for experts that could verify the sword and confirm it is real.
He found an expert in Cheshire and he traveled there to have the sword checked and documented.
The expert came to the meeting with two more expert being amazed that this sword has been found after so many many years.
The expert and his colleagues confirmed the sword is original and they also confirmed its tenure.
Paul Jones was amazed and proud at the same time that his daughter found a little piece of history.
