As for differences, in the first photo we have Asians whereas in the second one we see white Americans or British. Then, the first picture shows a traditional family -- a father and a mother in their thirties with two children, a boy and a girl, young teens age 12-14, living in a large house with a backyard, they are dressed simply, sitting together around the table in the dinning room where there is no TV allowing them to interact with each other,
and from the smiles on their faces they must be talking about something amusing, while the mother is serving the meal which she likely has been preparing by herself, probably from scratch as she wants her growing children to eat healthy hence the bowl of salad with lots of vegetables and lemonade for all, no alcoholic beverages; she may also be a stay-at-home mom.
In contrast in the second photo we have two single female friends who might be roomates, in their twenties, working and living in the city in an apartment, they are dressed casual chic, sitting in the kitchen at the counter with a laptop by their side, always connected, having fun and getting ready to eat what they both have been preparing, probably from pre-cooked meals heated in the microwave oven, and to drink wine from the bottle we see there;
they both help serve using what seems to be spaghetti spoons which means they are having pasta as they are easy to prepare and popular among those who order takeout and are on the go.
In both cases, the group of people is having a good time and that's what matters.

In the first image it is a happy family. This family is having the lunch together. There are two children, a boy and a girl and the parents.
In there second image there is a girl and her friend that are making together the food. It looks like they are learning from the laptop how to make a delicious meal.
