Dobrogea is limited to the north of the Danube Delta and Macin Mountains, east of the Black Sea, and west of the lower Danube. Dobrogea in northeastern Bulgaria includes the regions of Dobrich and Silistra. Rivers on its territory are few in number, short, low speeds and they limans flows into the Black Sea. The most important rivers are the noodles, Teliţa, Slava, Casimcea. Some coasts are salted (Sinoe and Techirghiol), other sweet (Babadag, Razim, Goloviţa, Zmeica, Taşaul, Agigea and Tatlageac.
From geological point of view, Dobrogea comprises three units: the latest, composed of silt and marine Holocene river, the Danube Delta in the Northeast; the oldest is the Măcinului Hercynian massif in the northwest, including roce efusive sediment Paleozoic and Mesozoic; Moes plateau in the south lies on a pedestal Mesozoic and Cenozoic sediments show Neozoic.
