My favorite object is an acorn, and its story on how I came across it is quite unusual, yet funny.
I was with my parents, hiking through the mountains of fagaras. After an exhausting 20 km of plainly walking, I found myself standing in front of a huge lake. beauty of it was too attractive to resist visiting it for at least a minute. After I slowly and safely backed down from the slippery rocks near the lake, I started making my way back through the forest I came from. It was all quiet, until I heard a rustling noise from one of the bushes that were close to me. I sharply turned around to see what was making that noise, only to see a fluffy, velvet squirrel with an acorn happily jumping through the grass. I offered to give it a bit of my trail mix, and I was lucky that I didn't scare it away, because I had to reach for my backpack. After giving the cute thing a couple of nuts, she took them and then ran away back into the unknown, leaving the acorn behind.
I've never seen a squirrel so close and this is why this small acorn might not mean anything to someone, yet it means so much for me. Every time I look at it I remember that cute, fast encounter with a wild animal.It was a beautiful experience i will never forget!
