We are humans for a reason, so I think the differences between the human body and the animals are infinite, but here are some:
First of all our hands can grab anything we want even if it's sharp, or round, or doesn't really has a defined form, but most animals have paws or really big 'hands' so they can't really do anything special with them, of course if it is a cat then in can scratch you, but we also can hit. So, in conclusion we can do things like: catching, throwing, holding, hitting and many other things with our hands while the animals don't have such a large field of action with their 'hands'.
