I was at home all alone, reading a book. It was on a Saturday morning. My mother was at work, my father was making yet another one of his cooking experiments in the kitchen with his brother at my uncle's house. It is an old tradition they have since they were my age. I have tomorrow for homework, so, as usual, I chose to read a book that day. It wasn't one my teachers recommended to me, but rather a more light and commercial one. I have the bad habbit of any reader, that is to get attached to every book characters, to get lost in the action of every book. My parents no longer ask me why I'm laughing or crying out of the blue, but they do forbid me to use the bad expressions that end up in my vocabulary from my beloved books.
However, that particular Saturday, something odd happened while I was reading. I was so lost in my book, that apparently it took me over 10 minutes to hear my phones constant notifications. I finally looked at my phone, and I saw that I had lots of messages from my best friend. At first, I thought something bad has happened, but while reading the messages, I understoodd that my friend was angry because she had just watched a movie and it wasn't as good as she expected after reading the book that inspired the movie. I know, I am a terrible friend, but, at that moment, I was relieved that nothing serious was going on so, even though she was annoyed, I was laughing like a crazy person.
However, that day was a good day and the book even better, so I haven't given up my reading vice yet and I have no real intention to do it anytime in the near future.
