"Many", "much", "little", "few" sunt cuvinte definite prin "quantifiers" (oferă informații despre cantități).

"Much" şi "many" sugerează o cantitate mare, "much" însoţind adjective la singular, iar "many" substantive la plural.

În schimb, "little" şi "few" fac referire la o cantitate redusă. La fel, "little" se folosește în asociere cu un substantiv la singular, iar "few" un substantiv la plural.
