It was a cold winter's morning.It was raining a little.Mums and dads were standing by the school football field.They were chatting and drinking coffe to keeo warm.They were waiting for the game to begin.On the field,their daughters were getting ready for the big match.Some of them were running and others were kicking balls towards the goal.The goalkeeper was practising catching the ball.Everyone was excited. It was the final of the under 16s girls football tournament.Mr Fletcher ,the headman, was cleaning his glasses.He put them on,took the whistle out of his pocket,and blew it.
