How would life be without memory?

"The psychic life of man without memory is just a touch of sensational impressions, meaning a present without a past, but without a future." (Lange Psychologist)

Memory can be defined as a mental process of embedding, storing, and updating information, structurally, constructively, even creatively.

The good part

A man without memory in my conception is the quiet, happy man who could live the moment or the moment in which he is without remembrance of the past or his close, the worries or the troubles that prevail in his life. He could be a free man if he does not remember the "agitated" things in his life does not mean that they have disappeared, but his concept of life is radically changing, thus enjoying new discoveries and of the time he takes advantage of such a moment.

All people would like to forget about some unpleasant things in their lives, but this is impossible because they are stored in memory and appear voluntarily or involuntarily.

The bad part

Memory is the most important and fundamental capacity of man. Without memory, it would be impossible for a person to function normally and develop it.

Memory is an absolutely necessary psychic ability without which life would not be possible. If it had no menory, it would live in a continuous present, only under the influence of the immediate reflection data, its behavior being chaotically spontaneous, without stability without purpose and durability in time, everything would seem new, unknown, would not be able to use the results of knowledge, his thoughts and actions could not be related to each other, could not understand and learn, would not solve the problems raised in its path.

Without memory we would be exactly like a doll. We will be controlled by the present, time and space. Dolls dancing on the theme of the initiative and the unknown. The gravity of things would have no meaning for us; we did not think logically.

Basically, without memory, we would not have imagination, we would not

perceptions and sensations, because we did not know what it means and fear would be established in us.

A life without memory would be a supernatural failure. The film that unfolds daily in front of our eyes would not mean anything, because we would forget everything in a second. It's like a magician left us with no significant part of us: memory. We could not live everything happening "now"
