On a cold and quiet christmas night snow was gently falling upon a quiet sleeping town in the north of England. There close to the margins of the city stood a house with a lovely garden decorated with christmas lights and plastic reindeers. Inside everyone lay sleeping except Marco a small boy with a bright mind and plenty of imagination. He decided that he had to stay awake to catch Santa bringing presents, to see him with his own eyes. How joyous he felt and extremely delighted when he saw something resembling a sled soaring through the sky. Father Christmas in the flesh, pink cheeks and white beard long to his shoulders. He ran outside to greet him but he couldn’t go very close, he started to hear something ringing in the distance. Marco woke up with an alarm clock by his side, disappointed, he had fallen asleep sometime during the night and everything had been just a dream. Little did he known that just outside his humble home there were sled marks on the sidewalk, but Marco wouldn’t notice them, by the time he would go outside to again a new layer of fresh snow would have covered them up completely.
