PAST CONTINUOUS:

P - S + was/were + Vb. -ing
N - S + wasn't/weren't + Vb. -ing
Q - Was/Were + S + Vb. -ing

Examples:

1) When I was in the room, the phone was ranging.

2) She was reading while he was runnning in the park.

3) When I was a child, we were reading on the garden.

4) You were cooking the cake when I ran on the stadium.

5) Were you making fun of him ?

6) I was not playing in the ground while he was doing his homework.

7) Was she taking the book for a while ?

8) They were talking about politics when we were singing our favourite single.

9) Were you learning for exam ?
