Even after the lady leaves she has no sleep she lie is staring at uncomfortable darkness, with eyes and ears filled with movement that her father returns from his room and from the words in which he tell her she was a heartless daughter. Her heart breaks it has enough heart for that. At times, it seems she believes in him and that to do what she (a) girl does must be really bad
