Queen Victoria reigned Britain almost 200 years ago. Has school changed that much since then? School THEN School NOW Students had to stand up to answer questions and wait for permission to speak. Students had to call teachers "Sir" or "Madam". . Students had to use their right hand at all times for writing. • Students must not ask questions. • Teachers punished the students who talked or fidgeted during classes. Teachers used a cane or a ruler to hit the students across the hand. There were 70 or 80 students in the classroom. Students mainly studied the three Rs: reading, writing and arithmetic. Both students and teachers are much more relaxed.Students can answer questions sitting down and sometimes call teachers by their names.

There are a lot of different classes and students can sometimes choose witch to attend.
The school day doesn’t have a lunch break,and it usually consists of 5 up to 7 classes.
