Since my mom has a passion for kitesurfing, Ive met a lot of people that practice extreme sports through her. To some, kitesurfing itself could actually be considered an extreme sport.

Extreme sports can be appropriate for all ages, depending on not just the sport and the difficulty of it, but also on the amount of experience and the athleticism of the person performing the sport. For example kitesurfing can be performed by all ages with the required amount of experience in sports.
