My wife’s mother was taken ill two days ago so my wife had to go and look after her. Before She left, my wife said: “I’d better tell you where everything is or you won't know what to do. But my train is about to leave in half an hour’s time and I must get to mother’s house as soon as I am able to ”. “ I'm worried ”, I said, “I can look after myself.” Now I realise I should've asked for a map of the house. If I had, i could've found all the food I needed. But when my wife comes back tomorrow, she isn't going to have any dirty dishes to wash up because I have been eating in restaurants since she went away.
