I was once home alone watching TV until i heard the noise of footsteps and my door opening.I shut down the lights and TV and waited in the dark terrified for about 10 minutes.Eventually i decided i should make a run for it.Afraid to meet the  intruder on my way to the door, i went upstairs where my phone was.I called the police which came almost immediately.After searching my house they found my dead neighbour in the basement.It seems he was suffocating and came to my house looking for help.But before the policeman left.He told me that my neighbour entered through the frontdoor.Which was strange because there were footprints of dirt coming from the backdoor as well.Which meant that me and my neightbour weren't the only ones in the house.There was a third person waiting next to the neighbours corpse for me to come down and check out what's happening
