As he embarded the train , he heard a woman screaming. He turned his head to the source of the scream , and his breath was caught in his throat. In front of him was a truly unbelievable sight. A woman was getting mugged in broad daylight! A circle was formed around the woman and the robber, but everyone was too stunned to speak. Everyone stared in deadly silence at the robber, who had now headlocked the woman and was holding a knife to her neck. No one dared to move, in case they startled the robber. He seemed emotionally unstable, which was probably true because no rational person would rob someone in a place full of other people. However, a normal person would also stay back and try not to get involved directly with the criminal. If I think about it, a normal person would go get help. I am not a normal person though. I walked through the evergrowing crowd until I got a clear view of the mugging. I don't know what got into me, but I ran over to the mugger and punched him, causing him to let go of the woman and the knife. The woman instantly clutched her bag and ran away to safety. The mugger was lying on the ground, grunting. Everyone was looking in awe to me, and they started cheering. I felt like a hero. When everyone started to leave, a couple of police officers came and took away the mugger, and thanked me for my braveness. However, they advised me to stay back next time and go get help. After all , this situation couldve had a bad ending.
