So, it goes without saying that the previous answer which was deleted by a moderator was a wrong one and I have to clarify why I reported it : - On the one hand, when you have a text and the task is to translate it into english at a past tense, you have to use the past tense during the whole text without any exception whatever the complexity of the sentence might be! Let alone that the user who did the post-deleted answer intermingled the tenses. =))
- On the other hand, maybe one of the most important thing you have to think about when reading a text is the VOCABULARY! With a spoted and an inaccuracy vocabulary, the topic cannot overcome your expectations.
