Britain is an island in Western Europe. It is surrounded by the North Sea, the English Channel, the Irish Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. It is the largest of the British Isles, which also include Ireland, Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey, Orkney and Shetland archipelagos.
UK name is also used to designate the three countries of the UK components that are on this island: England, Wales and Scotland. UK Romanian language is sometimes called, incorrectly, "United Kingdom" complete and correct name for the modern state, "United Kingdom".
