I belive that the quoted statement is true because I saw on my own what the teaching system actually promotes. Instead on personal developement, it promotes irrelevant marks and exams. More that that,if a student fails to take the said exam he will most likely be told that he shouldn't fail and exams are very important. But are they really?My opinion is that personal skills developement are far more important that grades that,at the end of the day,do not show the level of inteligence one has. Students should focus more on career opportunities and teachers should encourage and guide them towards personal evolution.
